Experimentally studies the effect of the cross-sectional velocity on velocity uniformity, cleanliness recovery characteristic, ejecting effect and flame slant of the alcohol burner under static conditions. The results show that for the cross-sectional velocity in the range of 0.2 to 0.5 m/s, the velocity relative standard deviation is no greater than 0.20, the cleanliness recovery characteristic shorter than 30 seconds, the slant of alcohol burner flame from 40 to 180 degrees, and though the ejecting action certainly exists, its effect on cleanliness class in working area can be ignored and the increase of velocity contributes to weakening the ejecting action.
